About The Position 
 
The ideal candidate will bring strong clinical product strategy and market expertise and passion for developing products. 
 
The Sr. Director of Product Management - Clinical, will work collaboratively with the VP of Product and the product owners responsible for the clinical products and the relevant technology and development teams. They will help validate the market needs and support product roadmaps and market requirements. They will evaluate and present scenarios that lead to growth through product functionality, content delivery, data aggregation and/or integration, including surfacing these benefits through new product offerings and delivery approaches. 
 
The Sr. Director of Product Management - Clinical will act as a champion for the market and domain internally while working closely with product management teams on specific initiatives around LLMs, Gen AI, data connectivity, data mastering, or new product ideas to enable our content more effectively in the future. Domain-expertise either in the biopharmaceutical/drug development industry with some clinical or relevant background, or experience in the Life Sciences market, would be a significant asset. A seasoned Product Manager with experience in managing products at all stages of the product lifecycle would be highly valued. 
 
Key responsibilities 
  • Working with the VP of Product and the Product Management team, create and execute a 1-3 year roadmap that includes new solutions and drives portfolio value where required. 
  • Developing clear and compelling roadmap and prioritization based on client/market need is critical. Supporting proposed strategies with a detailed business case analysis for new products and product extensions is required. 
  • Working closely with the technology development team, data science team, and the content teams to track progress on specific customer and product initiatives, from initial product concept through the full product lifecycle. 
  • Partnering with the wider Go-to- Market and Product Marketing teams to provide thought leadership around the product set and assist with product promotion and positioning in the marketplace. 
  • Working with the Marketing & Sales teams to articulate product value proposition and champion the product internally and externally. 
  • Tracking product metrics and managing to goals. 
Qualifications 
  • NYC area preferred; EST required.
  • 15-20 years product experience (majority of time in clinical).
  • Established track record in broad areas of product commercialization. 
  • Ability to work both independently and within a team environment with ability to manage multiple individual and team tasks simultaneously, while completing work on time and on budget. 
  • Ability to present information clearly, persuasively, and at the appropriate level of detail. 
  • Ability to prioritize, work under pressure/deadlines, and recognize areas of improvement to accomplish tasks effectively and efficiently. 
  • Excellent people skills: the ability to interact with colleagues, cross-functional teams, third parties, including clients, and senior-level/executive management.  
  • Work closely with development teams to ensure on time deliveries of product releases. 
  • Use Agile Product Management methodology to manage content backlog and deliveries. 
  • Analyze market trends and closely monitor product competitors. 
  • Act as the subject matter expert for content and data and market internally (cross teams, engineering, sales, pre-sales, and marketing) as well as externally (business partners, customers) 
  • Research, gather, and define business requirements from discussions with clients, partners, sales, and other sources for current and future product releases. 
  • Work with marketing, release management and education teams on product materials. e.g., white papers, customer presentations, training presentations, videos, webinars, solution brochures, solution guides 
 
The expected base salary for this position ranges from $185,000 to $225,000 plus annual bonus. It is not typical for offers to be made at or near the top of the range. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and, where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained. Market and organizational factors are also considered. In addition to base salary and a competitive benefits package, successful candidates are eligible to receive a discretionary bonus.
