The Role: 

The Head of Patient Engagement and Recruitment will oversee all strategic and operational aspects of patient recruitment and retention at Citeline. This role will work closely with the General Manager, the commercial organization, marketing, and our external clients to ensure that their recruitment and retention goals are met. The Head of Patient Engagement and Recruitment will manage a team that supports a number of products, develop innovative strategies, and establish strategic partnerships that drive efficient and effective recruitment for our client partners. 

    
Responsibilities: 

  • Collaborate across the organization develop and implement comprehensive patient recruitment and retention opportunities and products.
  • Lead and deliver upon our innovative recruitment and retention strategies products, solutions and services, including:
    - Patient recruitment plans based on real-world data
    - Patient scheduling and retention
    - Patient funnel optimization
  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of Patient Recruitment and Engagement Leads, Implementation and Delivery specialists
  • Act as a subject matter expert on patient recruitment, representing the company at key client and site meetings.
  • Oversee training programs for internal teams.
  • Ensure the team’s performance meets project deliverables, milestones, and timelines.
  • Collaborate with business development to present patient recruitment strategies & plans during bid defenses and client meetings.
  • Lead the development and tracking of patient recruitment metrics (KPIs), regularly reviewing reports to analyze trends and adjust strategies to meet recruitment goals.
  • Act as a subject matter expert on patient recruitment, representing the company at key client and site meetings.
  • Manage project financials, ensuring recruitment efforts align with budgetary requirements and contractual obligations.
  • And other duties as assigned. 
 

Qualifications:

  • Strong leadership and team management skills with a proven ability to mentor and develop team members.
  • Experience leading a PE&R organization or group previously
  • Experience in a client-facing, strategic role with expertise in patient-centric communications and clinical trials.
  • Experience managing recruitment campaigns, including media and outreach strategies.
  • Bachelor’s degree in healthcare, life sciences, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • Demonstrated success in developing and implementing global patient recruitment strategies.
  • Minimum of 8+ years of experience in patient recruitment and retention management within the clinical trial space.
  • Financial acumen with experience managing budgets related to recruitment efforts.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and data analysis tools.

The expected base salary for this position ranges from $190,000 to $225,000. It is not typical for offers to be made at or near the top of the range. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and, where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained. Market and organizational factors are also considered. In addition to base salary and a competitive benefits package, successful candidates are eligible to receive a discretionary bonus.
